    Olga Zysman, LMFT

    Olga Zysman, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Olga has conducted research in the area of Autism under the direction of Dr. Ivar Lovvas at UCLA, while obtaining her degree in Psychology. Since 1996, Olga specializes in treating children with special needs, emotional problems, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, PTSD and adults with depression, anxiety and relational problems. Olga is passionate about working on Prevention and Early Intervention in the community through parent education, positive parenting and comprehensive family system’s approach to treatment. Olga works in clinical and administrative capacities at The Help Group and is a passionate advocate for improving lives of children and families in L.A. County and the local San Fernando community. In addition to treating children, adults and couples in private practice, Olga provides supervision to interns and clinicians. She encourages a strength-based, evidence-driven approach to parent education and mental health services.

    Vera Gisis, LCSW

    Vera Gisis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Master’s Degree from Columbia University. Vera has conducted research and worked in the area of Autism – specifically, on the publication of the Autism Diagnostic Interview under the direction of Dr. Marian Sigman at the Semel Institute at UCLA, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in psychology. As of 2005, Vera has worked as a clinician, supervisor and administrator at non-profit mental health agencies – most notably, The Help Group, providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults and their families, as well as supervision to interns from universities (as a certified field instructor) and those collecting their BBS hours. Vera specializes in diagnosing and treating children/individuals with special needs – including, identification of early warning signs of Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety and relational problems. Vera utilizes various treatment approaches tailored to the specific, unique needs of her clients and their families.

    Therapy

    Recognizing that the challenges in our daily lives are complex, Optimal Psychotherapy offers an array of services to address the unique needs of young children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

    Children and adolescents:
    Developmental assessment, diagnostic evaluation, individualized treatment, therapeutic behavioral treatment, parenting psycho-education and intervention, child-parent psychotherapy, special needs/special education observation, consultation
    Adults:
    Assessment, diagnostic evaluation, insight-oriented treatment, as well as short- and long-term evidenced-based individualized treatment models, including present focused strategic behavioral, trauma focused CBT
